Mandell Pinder has extensive experience advancing the rights and interests of Indigenous Peoples through our appellate practice. We have represented parties and interveners at the Supreme Court of Canada, the British Columbia Court of Appeal, the Court of Appeal of Yukon, and the Federal Court of Appeal, including in cases that have resulted in landmark decisions in Aboriginal law.

Supporting Indigenous Peoples on Appeal

Our appellate practice involves Aboriginal title and rights, treaty rights, constitutional law, consultation and accommodation of Indigenous jurisdiction, breach of trust or fiduciary obligations in the mismanagement of Indigenous lands and resources, expropriation of reserve lands, and upholding decisions of Indigenous governments.
