Kim is an Associate Lawyer at Mandell Pinder. She primarily works with our Governance Practice Group, our Specific Claims Practice Group, and with the Solicitor Group, assisting with drafting laws, trusts, and policies for First Nations and negotiating Specific Claims settlements with Canada on behalf of our clients. Kim is also involved with the Reconciliation Action Plan Committee and the Student Committee within the firm. She is dedicated to making MP the best place to work and ensuring that students know about the opportunities available for summer articles and articles with MP.

Kim completed her articles with MP and was called to the bar in 2023. Before joining MP, Kim worked with the Treaty Team at K’ómoks First Nation. In 2018/19, she completed the Indigenous Youth Internship Program in the BC Public Service – working in the Intergovernmental Relations Office at the Office of the Premier and a secondment with Te’mexw Treaty Association.
Kim is an active legal community member, volunteering with the CBABC Aboriginal Lawyers Forum and the CBABC Law Student Mentorship program. Kim is also a member of the Education & Capacity Development Committee at K’ómoks First Nation, and a Board of Director for the K’ómoks Economic Development Corporation.
Outside of work, Kim can be found at a Canucks game, watching trashy reality television, or walking in the North Shore trails with her husband Curtis and her puppy Kona.
