Nicholas is Tsimshian from the Kitsumkalum First Nation on his mother’s side. He attended the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia, where he obtained a specialization in Aboriginal Law.
With a practice focused on litigation, Nicholas is a trusted advocate who is deeply committed to using his legal education and training to support Indigenous communities in finding practical solutions that protect their rights and advance their interests and jurisdiction. As an Indigenous lawyer with extensive experience guiding clients throughout the litigation process, he brings a unique and valuable perspective to his practice. He is committed to drawing from his personal experiences which have enabled him to deeply understand the legal issues faced by Indigenous peoples and their communities.
Prior to joining Mandell Pinder, Nicholas practised at a boutique firm in Vancouver specializing in Maritime law.
In his spare time, Nicholas enjoys playing hockey, basketball and golf, getting out in nature, and spending time with his friends and family.
Nicholas joined Mandell Pinder LLP in 2025. He was called to the bar in British Columbia in 2022.
