Matt is from Manitoba, Treaty 1 territory. Prior to earning his law degree and becoming an articling student with Mandell Pinder in 2023, Matt earned degrees in political science and worked for a variety of not-for-profit and political organizations as an organizer and communications professional.
His master’s research focused on the impacts of R v Gladue and sentencing reform on incarceration rates and Indigenous Peoples in Canada. He now applies his advocacy experience and legal training to his work with the firm.
Matt joined Mandell Pinder LLP as an articling student in 2023 and continues his work with the firm as an Associate. Matt was called to the bar in 2024.
