Mandell Pinder LLP is looking for a litigation associate, ideally with 3-6 years of litigation experience and familiarity with Aboriginal law, to join our team.

Area of Practice

Practice is anticipated to involve supporting senior lawyers in litigation and administrative proceedings dealing with Aboriginal rights and title, treaty rights, constitutional law, administrative law, consultation and accommodation, breach of trust or fiduciary obligations, breach of contract, and upholding and defending decisions of Indigenous governments and Indigenous legal traditions.

Qualifications

  • Mature outlook, 3-6 year call in good standing with the Law Society of BC
  • A strong interest and demonstrated experience in litigation
  • Familiarity with Indigenous rights, Aboriginal law, constitutional law and administrative law
  • Excellent analytical, research, and legal writing skills
  • Ability to travel and foster relationships with clients in their communities

Salary range $118,000 – $150,000 (target hours 1,350/year), dependent on year of call.
