What We Offer

We value teamwork and collaboration and aim to ensure our summer and articling students become integrated as valued members of our team, gaining exposure in a broad range of practice areas. By providing strong mentorship and development opportunities, our goal is to support our summer and articling students as they develop the skills and tools for a successful legal career.

We offer a comprehensive compensation package, including competitive salary and benefits. Mandell Pinder has a preferential hiring program approved under section 42 of BC’s Human Rights Code, which is intended to increase representation of Indigenous Peoples within the firm; improve equity for Indigenous Peoples within the legal profession; support Indigenous firm members’ unique experiences, perspectives and needs, and better serve our Indigenous clients. We encourage law students who self-identify as Indigenous to apply.

Terms

Our articling student must work full-time for a continuous period of not less than 12 months, including attendance at the Professional Legal Training Course. The articling term begins in office at the beginning of September annually.

Our summer student completes a temporary articling term for a 4-month period from May through August.

Application Process

We accept applications from potential summer and articling students at any time. For all student positions, we follow the Vancouver Bar Association guidelines with respect to application deadlines and provide offers in accordance with the Law Society of British Columbia rules, if applicable. Interviews typically take place in or around July and September of each year for articling students and summer students, respectively.

If you are interested in applying, please see the Careers section of our website.
