Profile

Roshan's practice is devoted to the design and implementation of consultation and reconciliation processes, legal and policy research and strategy. His background has especially readied him for this focus as he was the Chair of the Department of Conflict Resolution at Landegg International University, and he continues to teach law and conflict resolution at a number of institutions (including the University of British Columbia, the European Peace University (Austria), and the Justice Institute of British Columbia). He has provided training seminars on conflict resolution and team-building in Malawi, Hungary, Bosnia and the U.S.A.

Roshan is the President of Education for Peace Canada, and has served as a consultant to the United Nations Development Programme on governance reform in Africa.

Roshan has a keen interest in the processes required to achieve the resolution of antagonist frames of reference and he brings his extensive knowledge and experience to bear on the issues facing Aboriginal peoples, the Crown and third parties. His publications are prolific and learned.

Active in the Baha'i Community of Canada, Roshan served on the Executive Committee of the Association for Baha'i Studies - North America in 2006 and 2007, and was an editor of the Journal of Baha'i Studies. Roshan completed his doctoral studies in law at Harvard Law School in 2003.
