Mandell Pinder LLP assists aboriginal governments in developing and implementing their governance structures. Our work includes:
- research and development of laws suited for each Nation’s
special circumstance, history and culture
- drafting by-laws and laws under federal legislation,
including fishing, taxation, financial administration, heritage protection and
child welfare
- advising on the creation of governance structures, including
First Nations’ constitutions, laws, policies and guidelines
- advising and drafting laws and policies for First Nation
governments in areas such as housing, membership and education
